Personal timeline builder

The story of your life,
finally in one place.

Cronolog is a calm place to build a chronological record of a life: yours, a parent's, or your family's. Add events with photos and fuzzy dates, invite the people who remember, and let a fuller story emerge over time.

Fuzzy dates welcome

How it works

Three steps. No expertise required.

1

Create a timeline

Name it whatever you like: a person, a family, a chapter. Start with one event and build from there.

2

Add moments

Type dates as loosely as you know them: "1985", "the '90s", "June 2003". Add notes, photos, and context.

3

Invite the people who remember

Share a private link with family or friends. Collaborators can add their own events and fill in the gaps.

"I built this because I kept having the same conversation with friends: I wish I'd asked them more while I could. The memories exist — they're in people's heads, in old photos with no names on the back. They just need somewhere to live."

— Ryan, founder

Dates don't have to be exact

Memory is fuzzy. So is Cronolog. Type "1985", "early 2000s", or "June 2003 – March 2004" and the timeline figures it out. No spreadsheet precision required.

Photos belong in the story

Attach photo to events. They live in context, not in a camera roll sorted by date taken, but alongside the moment they belong to.

A record that outlasts memory

The conversations worth having usually get delayed too long. A Cronolog timeline gives you a reason to start them now — and a structure that keeps what you learn from disappearing into a notes app or a group chat.

Private by default

Your timeline is yours. Nothing is public unless you decide to share it. You control who can view and who can add events, always.

Built for any life story

Your own story

A personal record you can return to, add to, and share if you ever want to.

A parent or grandparent

Build their timeline while the memories are still there. Invite them to fill it in with you.

Your family history

A shared timeline multiple people can contribute to over time, building something richer together.
